Patricia C. Kienle, BSPharm, MPA, BCSCP, FASHP, (she/her) is the director of accreditation and medication safety for Cardinal Health. She is a member of the USP Compounding Expert Committee. Patti is the author of The Answer Books on Chapter <795>, <797>, and <800> and co-author of Meeting Accreditation Standards: A Pharmacy Preparation Guide.
Michael Ganio, PharmD, MS, FASHP is senior director of pharmacy practice and quality at ASHP. Dr. Ganio joined the staff at ASHP in January 2018, after nearly two decades in hospital and health-system pharmacy practice. His responsibilities at ASHP span the practice of pharmacy and include drug shortages, pharmaceutical quality, sterile and non-sterile compounding, hazardous drug safety, and other practice-related topics.
Cynthia von Heeringen is a scientific project director, educational programs at ASHP and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing medical education, continuing professional development programs, and other clinical resources for pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. This includes developing educational content for ASHP’s national meetings, industry supported activities, and certifications product line. With extensive experience in acute care clinical practice and operational supervision, she is passionate about medication safety and process optimization. She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy.
