ASHP has set the vision of advancing pharmacy practice with the Practice Advancement Initiative (PAI) 2030. This podcast will discuss how Wisconsin Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residents through the Practice Advancement Leadership Team (PALT) collaborated with the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) to support Wisconsin hospitals in filling out the PAI 2030 Self-Assessment Tool and raise awareness of PAI 2030.

Chad Smith PharmD, MBA, BCPS, BCSCP is the vice president of Pharmacy Operations at AdvocateAuroraHealth (AAH) in Milwaukee Wisconsin where he has served in a leadership role for the past ten years. Chad is also the Residency Director for AAH’s PGY1/2 HSPAL Residency Program that trains 8 residents. Chad volunteers for Wisconsin’s ASHP affiliate organization, The Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW), as Vice Chair of the Health System Advisory Committee and Residency Director Lead for the Practice Advancement Leadership Team.
Sarah Steinert is a second-year Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Resident at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin. Sarah completed her undergraduate degree in Polymer and Color Chemistry at North Carolina State University and her Doctorate of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill. Sarah is currently serving as a Practice Advancement Leadership Team (PALT) Co-Chair as part of the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin.
Herolind Jusufi is a PGY2 health-system pharmacy administration and leadership resident at UW Health. His career goals are to advance pharmacy practice through the creation of innovative services, utilize data in decision making, and leveraging automation technology in timely pharmacy services to patients. Herolind is also completing a Master’s in health-System Pharmacy Administration. His research project focuses on system infusion planning and improving infusion capacity to address demand and market changes.
Eric Maroyka, PharmD, BCPS, is senior director, Center on Pharmacy Practice Advancement at ASHP. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy and Pharm.D. from Rutgers University and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Previously, he was the Director of Pharmacy at Fauquier Health in Warrenton, Virginia and served over 22 years in the United States Army working in a variety of pharmacy and senior healthcare leadership roles.
