This podcast will explore how to incorporate gaming into residency/institutional teaching to help foster engagement for the learners. Dr. Megan Adelman will share some key strategies and instructional techniques, in advance of her upcoming educational session during the ASHP National Pharmacy Preceptors Conference.

Dr. Megan Adelman, BCPS, BCGP, CDE is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Center for Family Medicine. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the Northeast Ohio Medical University and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the Carolinas Medical Center and a PGY2 in Geriatrics at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VAMC. Dr. Adelman has worked to expand pharmacy services, helping to implement multiple interdisciplinary clinics. Her practice and research interests include gaming in education, geriatric care, polypharmacy and deprescribing, chronic disease state management, and population health management.
Dr. Luchen serves as the ASHP director of Member Relations for the Sections of Pharmacy Educators and Community Pharmacy Practitioners. In this role, Dr. Luchen leads initiatives that influence practice and education across the care continuum. Dr. Luchen completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Kansas, a postgraduate year 1 Community-Based Residency with the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy and Balls Food Stores, and the Executive Fellowship in Association Leadership and Management at ASHP.
