In this podcast, we will share practical examples used at both a large academic facility and a smaller community hospital to improve daily communication, manager feedback techniques, and encourage staff engagement.

Erich Brechtelsbauer received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and his Master’s Degree in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from The Ohio State University (OSU), while also completing a two-year residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Erich currently serves as Assistant Director of Pharmacy at Emory Healthcare and the Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta, GA. In this role, he oversees sterile compounding, medication safety, formulary management, and quality and process improvement initiatives for both oncology and non-oncology infusion services.
Patty Roberts is the pharmacy manager at Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital, a 168-bed community hospital in northeast Ohio. She has been in this role since she completed a HSPA residency at UNC Medical Center in 2017. She oversees the inpatient and bedside pharmacies' daily operations and is also highly involved in enterprise projects and committees. She is dual-board certified in Pharmacotherapy and Sterile Compounding. Her pharmacy interests include sterile compounding, medication safety, accreditation, and technician recruiting/advancement.
Youngji (Amy) Lee Pharm.D., BCPS is a clinical staff pharmacist in the emergency department at Saratoga Hospital and an informatics pharmacist at Columbia Memorial Hospital in NY. She received her PharmD from SUNY Buffalo. Her areas of interests are emergency medicine, leadership and advocacy. She is also a member of the ASHP Advocacy and PAC Advisory Committee.
