This podcast episode focuses on leadership journeys of board members of state affiliate societies. Listen in to learn about the speakers’ experiences, tips, and pearls on how to become leaders in organizations. The goal is to support sharing of information with ASHP members to promote awareness of leadership opportunities and to learn how some members have chosen to be involved.
SPEAKERS
Davina Dell-Steinbeck, PharmD, BCPS, is a 2005 graduate of University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. She is currently the Manager of Pharmacy Clinical Programs and PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis. She is also the Immediate Past President of the Missouri Society of Health System Pharmacists. She currently serves ASHP on the Section of Inpatient Care Practitioners’ Educational Steering Committee.
Aaron Burton, PharmD, MBA, BCPS, received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut and also holds a degree from Auburn University (MBA). He has held various professional roles including staff pharmacist, a clinical specialist role in internal medicine, Director of Pharmacy, and Assistant Professor. Throughout his career he has been involved in various SAGs within ASHP, and been an Active member of both Pennsylvania and Connecticut ASHP State affiliates (PSHP and CSHP).
Maria F. Bowen, PharmD, is a Medication Safety and Drug Information Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center and a PGY2 Medication-Use Safety and Policy Residency at Children's Hospital Colorado.
