ASHP is committed to advancing the field of pharmacogenomics and educating members on the impact of pharmacogenomics testing, dosing, and monitoring of medications on improved health outcomes. This podcast explores the new Pharmacogenomics AcceleratorTM program from ASHP in partnership with the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy including program goals, value to participants, enrollment process, and more.

SPEAKERS

David StenehjemDavid Stenehjem, PharmD, BCOP is Associate Professor and Associate Department Head at the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy. Dr. Stenehjem has participated in the transformation of the “one-size-fits-some” medical oncology practice into the modern precision oncology-based approach of today. He is disseminating PGx knowledge through offering a post-doctoral PGx clinical implementation fellowship; helping create a national PGx Project ECHO program; and designing the UMN/ASHP Pharmacogenomics Accelerator Program to promote clinical implementation.

Bayli LarsonBayli Larson, PharmD, MS, BCPS is strategic initiatives associate at ASHP. In her role she helps manage and lead a variety of collaborative cross-organizational strategic activities to help advance ASHP’s mission and vision and is also co-coordinator of the ASHP Executive Fellowship in Association Leadership and Management. She completed her PGY1 residency at UCHealth Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colo., and earned her PharmD from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Sophia ChhaySophia R. Chhay, PharmD, is the assistant director of the ASHP Innovation Center. In this role, Sophia helps lead and manage efforts to implement new programs and partnerships for ASHP. She also provides support for strategic planning, executive communications, and operations for the Office of the COO and Senior Vice President. She serves as secretary to the Council on Education and Workforce Development and co-program coordinator for the ASHP Executive Fellowship in Association Leadership and Management.
