Cindy BrasherCindy Brasher, PharmD, MS, BCSCP, is the manager of compounding at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She received her PharmD from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy, completed the health systems pharmacy administration PGY1/PGY2 residency program at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, and a master’s in pharmacy administration through the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Cindy recently served as the chair of the ASHP Section Advisory Group on Compounding and the Tennessee Pharmacist Association Compounding Society.

Angela CassanoAngela T. Cassano, PharmD, BCPS, FASHP, is Founder and President of Pharmfusion Consulting, LLC, a consulting firm for hospital pharmacy management, integration of pharmacy technicians and medical technology into pharmacy practice models, sterile compounding, and medication safety. She is an adjunct faculty member for Virginia Commonwealth School of Pharmacy where she teaches pharmacy law and serves as faculty for the VCU Center for Compounding Practice and Research. She also serves as Scientific Project Manager in the ASHP Office of Professional Development with responsibilities for developing educational programs and resources in sterile compounding, including the online resource centers, cspinsourcing.org and pnsafeuse.org.

Dr. Cassano earned her PharmD degree at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, and completed two residencies at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to her current role, she served as a pediatric and neonatal clinical pharmacist, Assistant Health System Director of Quality Assurance and Drug Safety, and Assistant Health System Director for Clinical Pharmacy Programs. She has done research and subsequent presentations and publications on topics that include pharmacy technician advancement, regulatory compliance, sterile compounding, quality assurance, and medication safety. She recently completed her tenure as an inaugural member of the ASHP-ACPE Pharmacy Technician Accreditation Commission. Dr. Cassano is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and was awarded the distinction of Fellow of ASHP.

ashley dutyAshley Duty, PharmD, MS, BCSCP, FASHP earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the Raabe College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University and a Master’s of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from Northeast Ohio Medical University. She completed a PGY1/2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency at the Cleveland Clinic. Ashley is currently Director of Pharmacy Operations at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to this, Ashley served as a pharmacy manager at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. In 2019, Ashley became a Board-Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist.

Professionally, Ashley is involved with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She was recognized as a fellow of ASHP in 2023. She is currently a content matter expert for ASHP’s BCSCP recertification programming. She has previously served ASHP as Chair and Vice Chair of the New Practitioners Forum. Ashley received the ASHP Distinguished Service Award for the New Practitioners Forum in 2019. Ashley is Director of the Membership, Marketing, and Media Division and Board Member for the Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacy. She is also an ASHP Delegate for Ohio. Ashley has previously served in local and state leadership roles for the Greater Kansas City Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Missouri Society of Health-System Pharmacy. In 2021, Ashley was named "Pharmacist of the Year" by the Missouri Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Ashley’s interests include sterile compounding operations, medication safety, and policy work. She is also very passionate about leadership development. In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband and cheering on Cleveland and Columbus sports teams

Kevin AngerKevin Hansen, PharmD, MS, BCPS is Assistant Director of Pharmacy at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. Dr. Hansen provides leadership and operational oversight for pharmaceutical compounding and pharmacy perioperative services. He is a preceptor for the Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency program. In addition, Dr. Hansen serves as adjunct faculty for the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

Dr. Hansen earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Erie, Pennsylvania and completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1/PGY2/MS Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency at the University of North Carolina Medical Center. He is board certified in pharmacotherapy through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties.

Within Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Dr. Hansen is involved in several committees and initiatives related to his practice interests of pharmaceutical compounding, handling hazardous drugs, medication and compounding safety, drug shortage management, and pharmacy perioperative services. He has taken a lead role in developing multidisciplinary teams, such as the Pharmaceutical Compounding Advisory Council and the Hazardous Drug Committee. He also provides pharmaceutical compounding guidance and standardization across Cone Health, a 6-hospital health system. Dr. Hansen is a member of ASHP and the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP). He currently serves a leading role in the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Managers (SPPM) Sterile Products Workgroup.

Jacklyn JaskowiakJaclyn M. Jaskowiak, PharmD, BCPS, BCSCP is an Inpatient Pharmacist Specialist for compounding compliance and operations at UC San Diego Health and Affiliate Faculty at the UC San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She received her PharmD degree from the University of Southern California and completed a PGY1 Acute Care Pharmacy Practice Residency at UC San Diego Health. Dr. Jaskowiak has over 16 years of hospital and health-system experience including inpatient, outpatient infusion center, and clinical research pharmacy services. She is an active member of the ASHP Section of Inpatient Care Practitioners Section Advisory Group on Compounding Practice. She is also active with the state and local affiliate chapters for the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Her professional interests include hazardous drug safety initiatives, environmental monitoring, pharmacy technician advancement, and teaching.

Patricia KienlePatricia Kienle is the Director of Accreditation and Medication Safety for Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions. She received her pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and a Masters in Public Administration from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She is Board Certified as a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist. She completed an Executive Fellowship in Patient Safety from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and is Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She has served on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and as President of the Pennsylvania Society of Hospital Pharmacists. She is a Fellow of ASHP, was named Pharmacist of the Year by PSHP, the recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award in Hospital and Institutional Practice from the American Pharmaceutical Association Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management, the Distinguished Leadership Award from ASHP, and the ASHP John W. Webb Lecture Award. She has served on the Pharmacotherapy Specialty Council of the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, the Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority, the Hospital Professional and Technical Advisory Committee of The Joint Commission, and on the Board of Governors of the National Patient Safety Foundation. She is a current member of the USP Compounding Expert Committee. Patti is the author of Compounding Sterile Preparations: ASHP’s Visual Guide to Chapter <797>; video and Companion Guide, co-author of Meeting Accreditation Standards: A Pharmacy Preparation Guide, and author of The Sterile Compounding Answer Book: A Guide to Contemporary Best Practices The Nonsterile Compounding Answer Book: A Guide to Contemporary Best Practices, and The Chapter <800>; Answer Book. With over 500 invited presentations and 80 publications, she has special interests in promoting medication safety, compounding sterile preparations, accreditation, and regulatory issues.

Dr. Kruszewski is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, embarking on clinical practice at WakeMed and then at Duke Home Infusion, focusing on sterile product safety and standardization which led to her current role at UNC Health. Dr. Kruszewski has been an active member of ASHP, APhA, and NHIA throughout her career. She has also served on many advisory boards both inside and outside of healthcare.

Stephen MilsteadSteve Milstead, PharmD, BCSCP is the Operational Manager over sterile and non-sterile Compounding and the Coordinator over Hazardous Drugs at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. He also works as a Consultant for Soigner Solutions and consults as an expert over regulatory issues governing sterile compounding and handling of hazardous drugs. Steve has 23 years of experience in developing sterile compounding programs and is experienced in renovation and IV room builds.

Steve received his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from McWhorter School of Pharmacy, Samford University and is Nationally Certified as a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (BCSCP). He holds two additional degrees, from Sorbonne University in Paris (French Language Diploma) and from Samford University (BS in Biology).
