The New Practitioner Column in AJHP features articles that address the special professional needs of pharmacists early in their careers and as they transition from students to practitioners. Authors include new practitioners or others with expertise in a topic of interest to new practitioners. Writing for this column is an easy way to learn the ins and outs of writing for professional journals.
How Do I Write for the New Practitioner Column?
Submission Requirements:
- Review AJHP Author Guidelines and instructions.
- If you would like to share ideas to consider for the column:
- Email [email protected] indicating:
- Topic
- Supporting information regarding focus / intent
- Proposed deadline
- ASHP staff will review and respond regarding AJHP’s interest in this topic
- Email [email protected] indicating:
- If encouraged to submit by ASHP staff, use the manuscript guidelines:
- 2,000 word limit
- Submit and track your manuscript at http://ajhp.msubmit.net
- Indicate NEW PRACTITIONER COLUMN in the Manuscript Comments section.
AJHP Resident Edition: Authors are also invited to submit manuscripts that describe the results of research projects or rigorous quality improvement programs that were undertaken while they were residents.
Please recognize that submissions will be reviewed by the AJHP editors and if your submission is accepted, you will work through the editorial process with an AJHP staff editor.
