Clarissa Marie Garcia
Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy
Clarissa Garcia is a fourth-year student pharmacist at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy (LLUSP). While in pharmacy school, Clarissa concurrently completed a master's in bioethics. Prior to attending pharmacy school, she graduated from the University of San Diego, where she received a BA in biology and a minor in chemistry. Her involvement with ASHP began with LLUSP's Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP) chapter where she served as president. She then served as a member of the state affiliate chapter's Student Section Executive Committee (SSEC). Her commitment to professional advancement led her to serve nationally as a member of the ASHP Council on Pharmacy Practice from 2022 to 2023, while maintaining active engagement with local and state affiliate chapters. She also recently completed an on-site advanced practice pharmacy experience (APPE) with the Office of Member Relations at ASHP headquarters. Clarissa completed a mission trip to Kendu Bay, Kenya, in 2023, where she engaged in direct patient care and collaborated on formulary management for the local hospital. This exposure to global healthcare dynamics reinforced her commitment to leadership and optimizing healthcare delivery while navigating resource constraints.
Clarissa will continue her professional journey as a PGY-1 resident with Scripps Health in her hometown of San Diego, California. Her professional interests include access to care, critical care, oncology, leadership development, and clinical ethics. She looks forward to serving her community and contributing to the pharmacy profession through mentorship, aiming to encourage the next generation of pharmacists to embrace professional engagement and growth.
Elyn Nguyen Lam
Chapman University School of Pharmacy
Elyn is a third-year PharmD Candidate (Class of 2024) at the Chapman University School of Pharmacy (CUSP). Elyn was born and raised in Southern California, and she completed two years of pre-pharmacy coursework at Chapman University. Upon starting pharmacy school, she was appointed as P1 Liaison of CSHP/ASHP student chapter before stepping up to the role of president. Under Elyn's leadership, CUSP was recognized for the ASHP Outstanding Professional Development Award (2021-2022), 2022 CSHP Music Video Competition Award (“Pharmacy on the Rise”), and 2023 CSHP Community Service Project Award for Community Outreach focused on mental health awareness.
Elyn developed a deep passion for advocacy in the pharmacy profession from her experiences within the society. She took the initiative to lead on a regional level as co-lead of the New Practitioner and Student Mixer in the CSHP Student Society Executive Committee. Additionally, she pursued her interest in health-system leadership by spearheading efforts to foster networking across the nation in the membership engagement workgroup of the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum. Elyn also participated in a longitudinal capstone research project under the mentorship of Miao Zhang, contributing to the understanding of the relationship between spinocerebellar ataxia and mutations in calcium-activated potassium channels. Her involvement led to authorship on a publication in the Journal of Neuroscience Research.
Elyn will continue her education at University of Michigan Health in thePGY1/PGY2 health-system administration and leadership residency program, with a master’s degree in business administration. Elyn is eager to continue her involvement in ASHP while completing her postgraduate training.
Kyle A. McCurry
Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy
Kyle A. McCurry is a fourth-year student pharmacist at Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy located in Nashville, Tennessee. Kyle has been working in the pharmacy setting since 2010. While working for one of the local hospital systems in 2019, Kyle crossed paths with Jonathon Pouliot, a professor and the local ASHP Chapter Advisor at Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy. Pouliot recognized Kyle’s potential, sparking conversations that encouraged him to pursue his PharmD degree.
This past year, Kyle has served as the government relations lead for the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum Advancement of Professional Practice Advisory Group. One of the main projects that the advisory group has been working on is shedding light on flexibility in the workplace setting. Kyle is a huge advocate for the implementation of four 10-hour workdays throughout the pharmacy profession. In addition to his national leadership responsibilities, Kyle has been fortunate to assume various leadership roles at the local level. Notable positions include Lipscomb University Student Pharmacist Government Association president, ASHP vice-president, APhA policy vice-president, Phi Delta Chi Worthy vice counselor, New Student Orientation Spirit Team leader, and the ASHP P1 liaison. Some of his proudest moments stem from being recognized at the national level by winning the 2023 APhA Most Humorous PharmFlix Video — "Hocus Phocus: The Courage to Change '' — and receiving the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative Student Award for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice.
Kyle is excited to continue his journey as an incoming PGY1 Resident at The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. Kyle’s current research and interests include emergency medicine and toxicology. In his spare time, Kyle is an avid theme park enthusiast and a lover of all things Buc-ee's.
Natalie Greer
Union University College of Pharmacy
Natalie is a fourth-year (Class of 2024) student pharmacist at Union University College of Pharmacy. During her time as a student pharmacist, Natalie has been actively involved in ASHP-SSHP by serving as chapter treasurer and co-founder of a new well-being committee in partnership with the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA – ASP). She has assisted at several COVID-19 and influenza vaccination clinics in rural West Tennessee and helped organize a summer pharmacy camp for high schoolers to raise awareness and interest in the pharmacy profession. Natalie also holds leadership positions in other organizations at her college of pharmacy including APhA – ASP and Rho Chi, and is a member of Phi Lambda Sigma, the American College of Clinical Pharmacists, and Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International.
Outside of involvement with ASHP – SSHP, Natalie has served as class president for the past four years and is a representative for both the student ambassador program and the student – faculty relations committee at her college of pharmacy. She has completed three research projects that were presented at both the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and APhA Annual Meeting, and currently serves as a member of the Residency Preparation Advisory Group on the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum. She is currently a pharmacy intern at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. Natalie is passionate about critical care and emergency medicine and will be completing a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, beginning in July 2024.
Nicholas DiStefano
Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy
Nick DiStefano is a fourth-year pharmacy student (Class of 2024) at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Pharmacy in Richmond, Virginia. Nick’s involvement with ASHP started at the end of his P1 year, when he was elected president-elect of VCU’s student chapter. He went on to become president his P3 year and placed an emphasis on student and community engagement through leading various events throughout the year, such as the completion of a successful food drive across the graduate campus, raising over $2,000 and 1,300 pounds of food. Outside of ASHP, Nick, alongside a fellow student colleague, assisted in founding a new student organization centered around oncology. In this role, Nick facilitated a Be the Match blood drive in Richmond in collaboration with VCU’s School of Medicine oncology chapter and attended meetings at the national level to promote student involvement. He developed a strong interest in this area of pharmacy and went on to complete qualitative research on the influencers of pharmacy student interest in oncology pharmacy. Additionally, Nick is a proud brother of the Kappa Psi Theta chapter, a member of the Phi Lambda Sigma leadership society, and a member of ASHP’s advancement of professional practice pharmacy student advisory group.
Outside of school, Nick worked as a pharmacy technician at VCU Health Medical Center on the weekends, where he gained insight into working within a large academic medical center and became fully IV trained. He took these experiences with him when he moved to Northern Virginia to complete his APPE rotations for his P4 year and worked as a pharmacy technician at INOVA Fairfax Medical Campus on the weekends. All these experiences have solidified Nick’s desire to continue his training through residency, and he is very excited to start at Penn Medicine’s Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as an incoming PGY1 resident.

Anna Dlott
Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy
Anna Dlott is a third-year (Class of 2025) pharmacy student from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. Her involvement with ASHP began with VCU’s Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists chapter at VCU (SVSHP) where she served first as the P1 representative, then as president. During her time as president, Anna was able to enhance the SVSHP shadowing opportunities to expand across the Commonwealth; offered panel discussions on unique pharmacy career paths and residency opportunities; partnered with a local nonprofit to aid in blood glucose and blood pressure checks; and worked alongside a VCU Health infectious disease team to raise awareness about antibiotic resistance. Anna’s experience on the local level inspired her to become more involved on the national level and serve as a member of the ASHP Student Society Development Advisory Group.
In addition to her involvement in SVSHP, she is also a member of Phi Lambda Sigma and Student National Pharmaceutical Association. Anna also traveled abroad to the Dominican Republic last summer to volunteer with the Hispanic Outreach Medical Brigade Relief Effort program, an international and interprofessional nonprofit outreach effort that seeks to improve health and provide access to healthcare to people living in underserved communities. Anna now serves as a student member on the board of directors.
Anna also is the co-founder and current vice president of the VCU chapter of Remote Area Medical, a nationally recognized nonprofit that organizes medical clinics to underserved and uninsured areas. In her capacity as vice president, she has helped provide students the opportunity to have direct patient interactions and work alongside other health profession students, gain leadership skills, and learn about public health disparities. Following graduation, Anna hopes to pursue a residency in internal medicine.
Esther L. Albuquerque
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy
Esther Albuquerque is a third-year pharmacy student at The University of Texas at Austin where she also attended undergrad. In ASHP, she serves as a member for the Residency Preparation Advisory Group in the Pharmacy Student Forum. Esther's interest in health-system pharmacy started early and is demonstrated by her work on numerous clinical research projects covering topics from oncology to pediatric infectious diseases. Through her longitudinal research project focused on developing grit and resilience in student pharmacists as well as her experience as an inaugural AACP Aspiring Academic, Esther found her passion for academia. Her other organization involvement includes being treasurer of UT Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Worthy Chief Counselor of the Lambda Chapter of Phi Delta Chi. She has also done committee work through the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Beyond pharmacy school organizations, Esther interns at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital, CVS Pharmacy, and Children's Wisconsin. Following graduation, Esther hopes to complete a PGY1 residency followed by PGY2 residency in oncology or critical care with a strong focus in teaching. Her love for academia and the support she has received from faculty mentors have inspired her to be a clinical faculty member and impact future students.
Kaitlyn Myk-Kish
Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Pharmacy
Kaitlyn Myk-Kish is a third-year pharmacy student (Class of 2025) from Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Pharmacy. Before she started pharmacy school, she attended Kent State University and obtained her BS in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry. Kaitlyn has been involved with SSHP since her first year in pharmacy school and currently serves as her SSHP chapter president. She has attended ASHP's Summer Meetings & Exhibition as well as the Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition, where she presented posters on her research. Kaitlyn also maintains leadership positions in several other organizations, such as the American Pharmacists Association student chapter and Lambda Kappa Sigma. In the upcoming year, she will serve as secretary of her school’s student chapter of Rho Chi Honor Society and as treasurer of Phi Lambda Sigma.
Kaitlyn is an intern at both Discount Drugmart and at the Cleveland Clinic's main campus, where she works in the inpatient controlled substances vault. Following graduation, she is interested in pursuing a residency in the acute care setting. Kaitlyn is passionate about advocacy and is excited to use these experiences to provide better support and care to the health care community.
Kaylee Nicole Meador
University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy
Kaylee Meador is a Class of 2025 PharmD candidate at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy (UKCOP). Originally from Whitesville, Kentucky, she received her AA and AS from Owensboro Community and Technical College in 2019. She then received her BS in biology from the University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences in 2021. At UKCOP, Kaylee currently serves as president of the SSHP. Through her work with SSHP, Kaylee strives to ensure that each member has the necessary resources to succeed in their future residencies and careers by organizing mentorship programs, residency panels, and research opportunities with the University of Kentucky HealthCare’s Drug Quality Study. At the state level, Kaylee is a member of the Pharmacy Practice Committee, Membership and Marketing Committee, and Board of Directors for the Kentucky Society of Health-System Pharmacists. At the national level, Kaylee serves as a work group lead for ASHP’s’ Pharmacy Student Forum.
Outside of ASHP, Kaylee is a mentor in the UKCOP Peer Mentorship Program, an alumni co-coordinator and service chair for the Phi Lambda Sigma Chi Chapter, and a student tutor for the Rho Chi Alpha Xi Chapter. Kaylee is also an inpatient pharmacist intern at Baptist Health Lexington, and she volunteers at two local non-profit clinics, Mission Health Lexington and the University of Kentucky Salvation Army Clinic. Through her upbringing, internship, and extracurricular experiences, she is passionate about providing care to rural and underserved populations. Kaylee wishes to pursue a PGY1 residency and potentially a PGY2 in critical care or emergency medicine.
Madison Northington
Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy
Madison Northington is a member of the Class of 2025 at Auburn University’s Harrison College of Pharmacy. She is a native of Prattville, Alabama, and attended Auburn University for her undergraduate studies. Through the Harrison College of Pharmacy Early Assurance Program, she completed a BS in biomedical sciences. Madison currently serves as a Harrison College of Pharmacy Student Ambassador, the Harrison College of Pharmacy Student Council president, the Alpha Chapter of Phi Lambda Sigma’s vice president, and an Early Assurance Program mentor. Her passion for ASHP began in her first year of school, which is when she served as Auburn University Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy’s (AUSSHP) P1 representative. As she became more involved in AUSSHP through serving in this capacity and attending various state and local meetings, she decided to pursue a leadership position at the national level. In her second year of school, she served on ASHP’s Pharmacy Student Forum’s Residency Preparation Advisory Group(RPAG)as a work group lead. During her term, her work group was able to create a deliverable consisting of an ASHP Connect post that outlined how students can best navigate and understand the ASHP Residency Directory. This post also included tips for creating spreadsheets and effectively utilizing search filters. She continued her involvement in RPAG in her third year of school, currently serving as vice chair. In the upcoming 2024-2025 term, she will serve as a member of the PSF Executive Committee.
Outside of school, Madison enjoys working as an intern at East Alabama Health’s Spencer Cancer Center in Opelika, Alabama. Over the past three and a half years, she has been involved in monitoring patient labs, assisting in counseling patients on new oncolytic medications, assessing drug selection and appropriateness, compounding products for chemotherapy-related symptoms, and acquiring grants for patient assistance. She is excited for the learning opportunities in her final year of school when she will complete Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) in Auburn, Montgomery, and Birmingham, Alabama. Additionally, she will complete an Indian Health Services APPE experience in Fort Washakie, Wyoming.
Quinn Mosgrove
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy
Quinn Mosgrove is a 2025 PharmD candidate at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. Her journey with ASHP began within her university’s SSHP chapter, where she served as the co-chair for both the ambulatory care committee and pediatric committee. These positions (and her mentors) inspired her to become involved with ASHP on a national level. Last summer, Quinn completed the ASHP summer internship, an experience that deepened her understanding of pharmacy practice and ignited her passion for association management. She also serves as the vice chair of the Pharmacy Student Forum Student Society Development Advisory Group and will join the ASHP Commission on Affiliate Relations as a student member. At the state level, Quinn led a team to second place in the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists Leadership Challenge competition for two consecutive years.
Beyond her ASHP commitments, Quinn is heavily involved with the Student National Pharmaceutical Association and National Community Pharmacists Association(NCPA), serving as corresponding secretary and vice president, respectively. Quinn also serves on the national NCPA student board, the Student Leadership Council, as secretary. Driven by her commitment to healthcare equity, Quinn aspires to bridge the gap between health systems and community pharmacy practice to enhance healthcare accessibility for underserved populations. As she embarks on her final year of pharmacy school, Quinn is honored to be selected for the Boston Medical Center All-In APPE Scholarship program, where she will undergo immersive, health outcomes-focused clinical training.
Tara Rikabi
The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy
Tara Rikabi is a class of 2025 PharmD candidate studying at The Ohio State University. She completed her BS in pharmaceutical sciences at The Ohio State University before starting pharmacy school in 2021 as part of their 3 + 4 program. Tara is very involved in her SSHP chapter at The Ohio State University. During her first year, she was elected as the P1 liaison before transitioning to president-elect her P2 year. She led the organization as president her P3 year. In addition, Tara served on the Student Society Development Advisory Group through ASHP's Pharmacy Student Forum for the 2023-2024 school year. Her group was part of the workforce-well-being and resilience workgroup. This aligns closely with her passion for mental health. Throughout these roles, she devoted her time to helping students and encouraging their involvement at both the college and national level.
Tara interviewed for the early assurance program into pharmacy school as a senior in high school. She has always been passionate about pharmacy and working with pediatrics specifically. Throughout pharmacy school, Tara has been an intern at Nationwide Children's Hospital. In addition to staffing as an intern, her experiences include working in the inpatient pharmacy and emergency department, working at the Behavioral Health Pavilion, completing a research project and case presentations, and rotating with pharmacists on specific clinical services. Tara was able to take her research project along with her college's SSHP project and present both posters at the 2023 Midyear. After graduation, Tara hopes to pursue a pediatric-focused residency in a health system, and would like to work towards a career path in psychiatric pharmacy and/or behavioral health.
