Rapid sequence intubation and management of the recently intubated patient is a common scenario faced in any emergency department. This podcast will discuss the role of the EM pharmacist, potential strategies for success, and potential pitfalls and controversies regarding the management of these patients.

Emily Kilber is an Emergency Medicine Pharmacist at Valleywise Health Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. She completed her PGY2 at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ and her PGY1 at the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL.
Spencer Kruggel is a current PGY2 emergency medicine pharmacy resident at Valleywise Health Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He completed his PGY1 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and this is where his interest in emergency medicine pharmacy originated. His interests include: Trauma, toxicology, and anything involving critical care.
Daniel Jarrell is a Clinical Pharmacist in emergency medicine at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson. He serves as the program director for the PGY2 emergency medicine residency program at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy/Banner – University Medical Center Tucson. His interests include critical care in the ED, toxicology, and precepting. He currently serves as an active member on the ASHP SAG for EM.
