Over the last year, the COVID-19 pandemic has required and introduced many innovations and advancements within the healthcare industry, to include the production and administering of vaccines, as well as some long-term implications that will go beyond 2021.

Zach Tolman is a pharmacy technician supervisor over oncology medication access at the University of Utah - Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. His team works with insurances and patient assistance programs to help minimize their patients’ financial barriers to care. Zach also volunteers with ASHP and his state affiliate where he advocates for improved patient medication access and pharmacy technician advancement.
Glen J. Gard CPhT, CSPT is the immediate past Chair, and inaugural member, of the ASHP Pharmacy Technician Forum Executive Committee. He works as the National Director of Sterile Compounding Compliance for Option Care Health in Chicago. Glen has been a pharmacy technician for fourteen years, and has practiced in a variety of practice settings. Mr. Gard will be serving as a member of the Council on Education and Workforce Development for the 2021-2022 term.
Over the past 30 years, JoAnne Myhre has worked as a pharmacy technician in various practice settings and spent the majority of her career in hospital practice as a Pharmacy Operations Manager. Currently, she is the Drug Diversion Program Manager for Allina Health and is actively involved in both state and national health-system pharmacy societies. She recently was awarded FMSHP and is currently serving as the Co-Chair of the ASHP Pharmacy Technician Forum Executive Committee.
Cindy Jeter has over 20 years’ experience as a CPhT filling multiple roles in health system pharmacy. She began as a Staff Technician, then became a Sterile Compounding Technician, Narcotic Tech, OR Satellite Tech, Automated Dispensing Cabinets Administrator, Patient Assistance Representative, and Purchasing Coordinator. Cindy has worked as a Regional Purchasing Manager, Trainer and Supply Chain Consultant. Cindy developed McKesson Buyer's University™, which is a training program to assist pharmacy purchasing agents to increase their skills. Cindy currently serves on the ASHP Pharmacy Technician Forum Executive Committee.
Tyffani T. Wingfield, Ph.D., M.A. is the ASHP Director of the Pharmacy Technician Forum. In this role, Dr. Wingfield serves as secretary to the Forum’s Executive Committee and leads the development and implementation of national tools, resources, and programs for pharmacy technicians.
Prior to ASHP, Dr. Wingfield served in a variety leadership roles for the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Army Office of Business Transformation, and NASA Office of Education. With over twenty-two years of experience, she is proficient in working closely with organizational leaders in promoting dynamic teams/culture, developing policies and effective communications strategies, and advancing membership engagement.
She holds B.A. in English and biology from Virginia Commonwealth University, a M.A. in higher education administration & supervision from The George Washington University, and a Ph.D. in organizational management with a focus in executive leadership from Capella University.
