During this podcast episode, we talk with two pharmacy-based social media influencers. We hope that through learning about their experiences, students may gain insight into how to leverage these platforms for their own professional development.

Madeline Acquilano graduated from MCPHS University Boston campus in 2019. After graduation she completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and became board certified as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist. Madeline has been an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist since graduating residency and will be transitioning into a new role as an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist in the new year. Madeline created The Luxe Pharmacist in 2018 and hopes her online presence will continue to advance pharmacy practice and inspire others.
Erin Mays, PharmD is a current PGY-2 Oncology Pharmacy Resident at the University of North Carolina Medical Center. She also completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at UNC and received her PharmD at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy 2020. Over the past 2 years, she has used her social media platforms to share her pharmacy training journey, provide advice to pharmacy students, and advocate for the profession of pharmacy.
Steven Astrachan is a current fourth-year student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. A member of the Pediatrics Area of Concentration, he plans to pursue residency training after graduating in April and hopes to specialize in pediatrics. He serves as the Podcast Lead of the Career and Leadership Development Advisory Group and looks forward to educating students on the array of opportunities available during and after pharmacy school.
