SPEAKERS
Amy Le (she/her) is a Queer, Asian-American woman from Dallas, Texas. She recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy and will be pursuing PGY1 pharmacy residency training at the South Texas VA in San Antonio, TX in hopes of becoming a psychiatric pharmacist. Amy ultimately looks to teach as an adjunct professor and increase representation for the LGBTQ+ community to better their care. In her free time, Amy enjoys team sports such as soccer and pickleball.
Dr. Leyner Martinez, PharmD, MS, MHA, FACHE, is the director of pharmacy services at Baptist Hospital of Miami. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Child, and Consumer Sciences from Florida State University and a PharmD from LECOM School of Pharmacy. He completed a PGY1 residency with drug information emphasis at the Poison Control Center/Jackson Memorial Hospital and a combined PGY1/PGY2 residency in health-systems pharmacy administration at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Martinez has certifications in medication therapy management and pharmacy-based immunization delivery and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He is also a preceptor to residents and students for health-system pharmacy administration and advance hospital/institutional practice rotations.
