Jordan Dow and Majid Tanas share their approaches and discuss the importance of lifelong learning.
SPEAKERS
Majid R. Tanas, PharmD, MHA, MS, FASHP, (he/him) is the Vice President of Pharmacy/Chief Pharmacy Officer at Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon. He is an experienced Pharmacy Executive with numerous leadership positions at AMCs, Federal, and Community Health-Systems. His administrative interests include leadership development, operations, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. During his career, he has helped lead teams in building systems to meet the growing patient care needs and has spent much of his career establishing new service lines.
Rebekah Placide, PharmD, MS, (she/her) completed her PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership Residency and M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences at UNC in 2023. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University for her undergraduate studies and obtained her PharmD from High Point University Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy. During residency, Dr. Placide served as the Resident Manager of Perioperative Services at UNC Medical Center, where she oversaw HR operations and daily workflow of 7 direct reports. She currently serves as the Pharmacy Manager of Sterile Products and Perioperative Services at UNC Health REX.
Jordan Dow, PharmD, MS, FACHE, (he/him) serves as vice president and chief pharmacy officer for Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin. Jordan completed his didactic education and residency training at the University of Wisconsin. He has held progressive pharmacy leadership roles in multiple integrated delivery networks during his career. Jordan is an active leader within ASHP, Vizient, PSW and ACHE. In his free time, Jordan enjoys playing sports and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Becca McCaughey, PharmD, MPH, MS, BCPS, (she/her) is a Pharmacy Supply Chain Manager at The University of Kansas Health System. She is also a past member of ASHP Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residents’ Collaborative (PALRC).
