ASHP Official hosts Amy Gutierrez for a discussion about a unique session planned for the ASHP Pharmacy Futures focused on pharmacist recruitment and retention strategies. Pharmacist Personnel Puzzle: Key Insights into Workforce Recruitment and Achieving Results will feature Amy and two additional experts and provide actionable takeaways specifically crafted for pharmacy leaders by pharmacy leaders.  This session is eligible for live CPEL recertification credit.

SPEAKERS

Amy Gutierrez Amy Gutierrez, PharmD, CPEL (she/hers) is the vice president and chief pharmacy officer for UCHealth, overseeing pharmacy practice, strategy and policy across this large Colorado healthcare system. She currently serves on the American Society of Health System Pharmacists’ Pharmacy Executive Leadership Alliance (PELA) Advisory Panel. In 2021, she was appointed to the Colorado Prescription Drug Affordability Board by Governor Polis and is a current member. Dr. Gutierrez obtained her Certified Pharmacy Executive Leader (CPEL) credentials from the American Society of Health System Pharmacists in 2022.

Cynthia von HeeringenCynthia von Heeringen is an education director on the National Meetings Education Team at ASHP and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing medical education, continuing professional development programs, and other clinical resources for pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. This includes developing educational content for ASHP’s national meetings, and other special education activities. With extensive experience in acute care clinical practice and operational supervision, she is passionate about medication safety and process optimization. She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy.
