This podcast explores pharmacists’ perceptions of incorporating telehealth and opportunities to improve its development in clinical practice. The purpose of this discussion is to uncover the optimal potential of telehealth and learn about key insights of this modernized practice.
Alison Lobkovich, PharmD, (she/her) is an assistant clinical professor at Wayne State University and ambulatory care specialist in internal medicine at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, MI where she specializes in diabetes management. Dr. Lobkovich serves as the co-coordinator of the institutions APPE program and vice chair of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy PRN Resident and Fellow Committee. Her current research interests involve scholarship of teaching and learning and continuous glucose monitoring, as it pertains to incorporation into pharmacy curricula and impact on the learner experience.
Melissa Lipari, PharmD, BCACP, (she/her) is an associate professor (clinical) at Wayne State University with a clinical practice site in Family Medicine at Ascension St. John. Dr. Lipari received her PharmD in 2010 from Wayne State University and completed a PGY1 pharmacy and PGY2 ambulatory care residency at DMC Harper University Hospital. She is board certified in ambulatory care pharmacy. Her didactic teaching and research focus is in respiratory diseases. She also practices under a collaborative practice agreement for chronic disease state management.
Tiffany Dinh, BS, PharmD Candidate (she/her/hers) is an ASHP extern from The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. Upon graduating, she will join The Johns Hopkins Hospital - PGY1/2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency Program. With previous experience as a telehealth intern, she is eager to learn how this practice can optimize patient care.
