In this podcast, we will discuss how artificial intelligence machine learning, data science and analytics are being incorporated into pharmacy education and how pharmacists can be better prepared to enter the ever-changing workforce.

SPEAKERS

Anthony BlashAnthony Blash, PharmD, BCompSc, CPHIMS is an Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy at Belmont University. He is responsible for the Healthcare Informatics concentration.

Dr. Blash became certified in Healthcare Informatics in February of 2014, and Belmont University’s College of Pharmacy became an Approved Education Provider in 2015.

Dr. Blash came to Belmont from corporate, where he was responsible for healthcare informatics at 20 hospitals and 130 physician and rural health clinics.

Amen MengistuAmen Mengistu is a third-year pharmacy student at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. She is a member of the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology SAG and the Vice-Chair of the Career and Leadership Development PSF
