Pursuing a residency specializing in pharmacy informatics is emerging as a popular route to begin a career as an informatics pharmacist. Hear from three current PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residents about their career path, residency experience, and hopes for training future informatics pharmacists.
SPEAKERS
Graham Edwardson, PharmD, is a postgraduate year 2 pharmacy informatics resident at AdventHealth Orlando. He completed his PGY1 training at AdventHealth Orlando as well and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Pharmacy. His professional interests include HER maintenance, third party automation systems, and pharmacy finance.
Julia Li, PharmD, is a postgraduate year 2 pharmacy informatics resident at NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston, IL, where she also completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. John’s University in Queens, NY. She is an active member of ASHP's Section of Specialty Pharmacy Informatics and Technology Section Advisory Group on Operations and Automations.
Kendall Shoaf, PharmD, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Butler University. She completed a postgraduate year 1 Pharmacy Residency at North Memorial Health Hospital and a PGY2 Informatics Pharmacy Residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Kendall is currently an informatics pharmacist specialist at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Kendall is a member of the Clinical Applications Section Advisory group within the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology.
