RX for Success focuses on pharmacy productivity and metrics in small and rural hospitals. We will be evaluating and discussing the differences between quantitative and qualitative metrics, survey results from commonly utilized metrics in small and rural hospitals throughout the country, and metrics that hold particular value to C-suite staff.
SPEAKERS
Tyler Cramer, PharmD, (he/him) earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2020 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy. Following graduation, Dr. Cramer began his pharmacy career as an inpatient pharmacist at Boone Health in Columbia, MO. Being from a small town, he recognizes the healthcare disparities that many rural individuals face. He is a member of the Small and Rural Hospitals Section Advisory Group, where he continues to focus on serving rural populations.
David T. Caron, Jr., PharmD, (he/him) is chief pharmacy officer and chief compliance officer at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. He practiced small and rural hospital pharmacy for most of his 30-year career and has had the pleasure of precepting hundreds of students from six colleges of pharmacy. David leads a community-wide vaccine task force effort and actively collaborates with the Council on Aging on various initiatives. He graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and the University of Kentucky.
Kyle Johnicker, PharmD, (he/him) is the pharmacy clinical coordinator at Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, Illinois. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. His professional pharmacy career has been focused in small community hospitals at various positions, including Clinical Staff Pharmacist at Fayette Regional Health System in Connersville, Indiana, Director of Pharmacy at Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle, Indiana, and Clinical Manager at South Shore Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
