Pneumococcal vaccination recommendations are arguably some of the most difficult to maneuver. With the approval of two new pneumococcal vaccines, guidelines have significantly changed. This podcast aims to discuss these changes in vaccines and recommendations, and provide resources to ensure patients are receiving the right vaccine at the right time.
SPEAKERS
Kali Autrey, PharmD, PhC, BCPS, NCPS, (she/her) is a commissioned officer in the US Public Health Service, stationed at Crownpoint Service Unit, an Indian Health Service on the Navajo Reservation. She serves as inpatient pharmacy lead and vaccine coordinator while maintaining medical staff privileges as an ambulatory provider managing 20 chronic disease states. In addition to serving on the ASHP SCPP Education, Communication and Training Section Advisory Group, she’s the USPHS Federal Delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates.
