SPEAKERS
Douglas Scheckelhoff is Senior Vice President of Practice Advancement at ASHP. In this role, he provides leadership and coordination of ASHP initiatives and efforts addressing critical practice issues. He oversees the ASHP Centers on Pharmacy Practice Advancement, Medication Safety and Quality, and Practice Development. He also coordinates ASHP international programs, services and consulting. Prior to coming to ASHP, Doug held senior leadership positions in health systems for more than 20 years. He has over 230 presentations and publications on pharmacy related topics.
Lynnae Mahaney is American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Senior Director of Pharmacy Accreditation, Office and Practice Advancement and Senior Consultant, ASHP Consulting. In her ASHP Director role, Lynnae leads administration of pharmacy practice accreditation programs for hospital and health-system settings as well as leading the ASHP international residency and hospital pharmacy accreditation activities. Prior to this, she was the Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation (CPPA) Executive Director where she led the Center’s strategic direction, operations and the management and delivery of pharmacy practice accreditation programs in the healthcare marketplace.
Lynnae was also a former vice president for a consulting company were she led development and delivery of pharmacy consultant services in health systems and pursued her interest in national and global healthcare issues. She was Chief of Pharmacy for the Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in Madison, WI for 13 years and during her tenure, she implemented systems for CPOE and BCMA as well as the major expansion of ambulatory care pharmacist services throughout its network. Nationally, she was active in VA leadership development, recruitment, and retention and practice model advancement. Here experience also includes leadership positions at several community hospitals.
Over the course of her career she has been recognized for her innovative and energetic leadership of inpatient and ambulatory care pharmacy services in community and governmental healthcare systems. She is a past president and fellow of ASHP and has gained a national and international reputation for the advancement of pharmacist practices. She is a sought-after speaker and consistently contributes to the professional literature. Awards include 2012 Citation of Merit, University of Wisconsin, School of Pharmacy and Distinguished Service (2020) and Pharmacist of the Year from the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin.
Lynnae Mahaney earned a BS Pharmacy and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.
Dr. Daniels is Chief Pharmacy Officer at UC San Diego Health, Associate Dean for Professional Practice, and Clinical Professor in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California San Diego.
He is responsible for strategy and performance of the UC San Diego Health Pharmacy Department. This includes inpatient, clinic pharmacy, retail, home infusion, infusion center, and specialty pharmacy enterprise.
Dr. Daniels has received the John W. Webb award for health system leadership. He has served as the Chair of the Commission on Credentialing, the Chair of the Pharmacy Technician Accreditation Commission, and is currently the Chair of the ASHP International Accreditation Commission.
