SPEAKERS
Dr. Joshua Blackwell, PharmD, MS, is the clinical pharmacy manager for Ambulatory Services at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He has served in various capacities within ASHP including member of the DEI Task Force, Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders, and Council of Educations and Workforce Development. Dr. Blackwell has a strong passion for serving and advocating within healthcare as well as coaching and developing leaders at every stage of their journey.
Aliyah Cruz is a fourth-year student pharmacist from UNC’s Eshelman School of Pharmacy and serves as the national president for the Student National Pharmaceutical Association. Originally from Cherry Point, NC, it was her experience growing up as a Latina in a predominately white, southern, rural military town where she learned how diverse the underserved community could be. Her passion for service and these experiences helped push her towards a path that serviced those that encounter health disparities.
Jasmine Perry, BS, is a fourth-year doctor of pharmacy candidate at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Jasmine earned her bachelor of science degree in biology from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. She is passionate about improving health outcomes of vulnerable populations. She currently serves as the legislative chairperson of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association. Her passion to serve under-served populations has been highlighted through clinical experiences, patient interactions, and organizational leadership.
