Chloe Anderson Chloe Anderson is a rising P3 student at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy in Charleston, West Virginia. She is working on her master’s in business administration concurrently with her doctorate in Pharmacy. Before her current academic endeavors, Chloe honed her skills as a certified pharmacy technician, where she served as a pillar of support for her community, especially during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. With grace and resilience, Chloe embraced her role at her local community pharmacy, proactively assisting and uplifting those in need, showcasing her compassionate spirit and unwavering dedication to serving others.

Chloe’s passion for leadership and management shines through her active engagement in various roles during her university tenure, including serving as the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy (SSHP) President and UCSOP Class of 2026 Vice President. These positions have allowed her to utilize her adept organizational skills, foster collaboration, and advocate for student interests, thus improving the Pharmacy School experience for her colleagues. Beyond her academic commitments, Chloe finds solace and inspiration in her hobbies. She immerses herself in a world of literature, finds artistic expression through painting, and discovers fulfillment in making music. Her dedication to these pursuits not only reflects her diverse interests but also underscores her commitment to personal growth and creative expression.

TPTS/ASHP Summer Intern

Rebecca Merzke Rebecca Merzke is a P3 student at The University of New Mexico (UNM) College of Pharmacy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She received her bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from UNM in 2023 and is currently working on a dual degree for her master’s in pharmaceutical sciences in toxicology. Rebecca plans to work in neuropsychology or palliative care.

Outside of her schooling, Rebecca works as a hospital pharmacy intern at the Raymond G. Murphy Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Albuquerque. Rebecca is the incoming president for her school’s Phi Lambda Sigma chapter. She hopes to continue to develop and grow the future leaders of pharmacy as she enjoys helping others realize their full potential.

In her free time, Rebecca enjoys exploring the outdoors with her three children: Alexander (6), Emma (4), and Samuel (1). She also has a slight obsession with growing succulents, which she says keeps her grounded.

Rebecca is honored to have been selected as a summer intern with The Pharmacy Technician Society (TPTS) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). She says this opportunity will provide her with valuable insights into the future of the pharmacy profession, further fueling her passion and commitment to excellence.
