Tanya Ott Ezekiel
Tanya’s Story
Dr. Ezekiel received her Pharm.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and completed a PGY-1 Practice Residency at Palmetto Health Richland. She obtained board certification in pharmacotherapy in 2007. She has practice experience as a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist in the areas of medicine, trauma/surgery and cardiovascular prior to transitioning to Pharmacy Informatics. Dr. Ezekiel is a member of ASHP Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology.
Dr. Ezekiel currently serves on the Clinical Applications Section Advisory Group.
Facility
Palmetto Health encompasses a three hospital system including Palmetto Health Richland, a 650-bed community academic medical center.
Significant Projects
Dr. Ezekiel is integrally involved in the recent design of order sets and implementation of a glycemic control management system as a system wide clinical standardization initiative.
Advice for Someone New to Your Specialty Area
"The learning curve is fairly steep but evens out quickly. Don't be afraid to ask others with historical perspective for insight on processes. It is an ever changing area so just enjoy the challenges and success of each day."
