Initial Involvement in ASHP

I currently serve as a member of the SICP SAG on Compounding Practice.

Why did you become involved in ASHP?

I originally got involved with ASHP as a student because I worked in a health system and wanted to learn more about the profession. I stayed involved because I have found my participation in the advisory groups a great way to network and further contribute to the profession.

Advice for Someone New to Specialty Area

I would recommend that anyone new to my specialty area should be curious, ask questions, and don't be afraid to jump in with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to learn more about the frontline.

How would you explain the value of ASHP to a friend or colleague?

The education and involvement opportunities provided by ASHP span all stages of the pharmacy profession. From pharmacy technicians to pharmacy interns, new practitioners, and experienced pharmacists ASHP provides something for everyone.

What is the value of ASHP for the profession?

ASHP discusses current issues and provides recommendations and guidance for all.
