Vivian Liao
Vivian’s Story
Dr. Liao received her undergraduate degree from Oberlin College in 2004 and her pharmacy degree from Midwestern University - College of Pharmacy in Glendale, Arizona in 2009. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency and a PGY2 residency in Critical Care at Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Liao is a member of the Section Advisory Group on Clinical Leadership in the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists. She is also a member of a subcommittee involved with pharmacy credentialing and privileging. Dr. Liao became involved in ASHP to maintain professional contacts and contribute as an advocate for the profession.
Facility
Dr. Liao is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Mercer University College of Pharmacy and maintains a practice site to teach students in the trauma/surgery ICU at Atlanta Medical Center, which is a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Significant Projects
Dr. Liao is currently involved in developing a pain, agitation, and delirium protocol in the ICU and she is interested in evaluating its use in elderly critically ill patients with trauma.
