Initial Involvement in ASHP
"I became involved in ASHP in order to have a voice in the profession! I want to become a pioneer of change within the profession of pharmacy and in healthcare. ASHP allows me to have an impact beyond my local practice as we come together to advance the profession."
Advice for Someone New to Your Specialty Area
"Get involved! Change within healthcare is going to be occurring at a rapid pace over the next several decades and the profession needs to have outspoken advocates to advance the profession. We must work together to advance our practice with the common vision of improving patient care. "
Value of ASHP
"I would tell my friend to imagine being tasked with building a house. Would they want to embark on this journey by themselves? No! They would most likely want to recruit experts from different areas and come together to build a masterpiece! I believe that is what we are doing in ASHP, coming together, as a profession, to advance patient care and leverage the expertise of pharmacists to the fullest extent."
"ASHP is invaluable to the profession of pharmacy! It allows pharmacists to have a collective voice for our profession and come together to improve patient care. We must take lead in the change that is occurring throughout the nation and work to continue to develop young leaders in the profession."
