When did you first join ASHP?

I joined ASHP during my first year of pharmacy school in the fall of 2019.

What is your current involvement with the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum (i.e. advisory group or executive committee appointment)?

I proudly serve as the Vice Chair of the Pharmacy Student Forum Career and Leadership Development Advisory Group.

What is your favorite part of your ASHP student membership? What has been most beneficial about being a student member of ASHP?

My favorite part of being a student member of ASHP is meeting driven pharmacy students and established pharmacy professionals across the country. The most beneficial thing about being a student member is learning from my peers through the educational resources ASHP provides.

What is your favorite memory from an ASHP event, project, or program?

My favorite ASHP event was a Pharmacy Health Information Technology (PHIT) Collaborative Webinar and Pharmacy Informatics Roundtable. This was a two-day webinar series on events, employment opportunities, and hot topics related to pharmacy informatics. This webinar series introduced me to the Pharmacy Student Forum and the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology advisory groups.

What advice do you have for pharmacy students seeking to become involved in national organizations?

Find what you are passionate about and continue to seek opportunities to develop your skills, enhance your knowledge and help others to do the same.
