What significant projects have you been involved in recently?
One of my recent projects was developing a contract evaluation tool for specialty and oncology medications. This tool integrates data from purchase histories and multiple contracts, including tiered pricing, rebates, off-invoice discounts, and market share rewards, helping identify the most cost-effective purchasing options. Additionally, I led the creation of a pharmacy savings dashboard in Power BI, which tracks and visually represents the savings achieved by Lifepoint Health’s facilities through various medication cost-saving initiatives.
What advice would you provide for someone new in your specialty area?
Stay curious and maintain both a learning mindset and a creative approach to problem-solving. This field often requires innovative solutions, so being open to new ideas is key. Additionally, while these specialties may seem solitary, success heavily depends on building strong relationships. Collaborating with others is essential to achieving your team’s goals.
