Reason for the Shortage

    • Akorn ceased operations in February 2023.
    • Bausch Health did not provide a reason for the shortage.
    • Lifestar has phenylephrine ophthalmic solution available.
    • Sandoz is no longer marketing phenylephrine ophthalmic solution.

Estimated Resupply Dates

    • Bausch Health has 2.5% phenylephrine in 10 mL bottles and on back order and the company estimates a release date in the first quarter of 2025.
