Reason for the Shortage

    • Baxter discontinued ciprofloxacin injection in January 2023.
    • Pfizer has ciprofloxacin injection on shortage due to manufacturing delays.
    • Sagent did not provide a reason for the shortage.

    • There is insufficient supply for usual ordering

Estimated Resupply Dates

    • Pfizer has ciprofloxacin 200 mg/100 mL premixed bags on back order and the company estimates a release date of December 2024. The 400 mg/200 mL premixed bags are available in limited supply.
    • Sagent has ciprofloxacin 400 mg/200 mL premixed bags and 400 mg/200 mL DEHP/PVC-free bags on allocation.
