Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids Adsorbed (Td)

Reason for the Shortage

    • Grifols has tetanus and diphtheria toxoids adsorbed (Td) available.[1]
    • Sanofi Pasteur has Tenivac available.[2]
    • Adult tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccines are not affected by this shortage.
    • Pediatric diphtheria and tetanus toxoids adsorbed (DT) and diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and acellular pertussis vaccines (DTaP) are not affected by this shortage.

    • Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids adsorbed (Td) is labeled for active immunization for the prevention of tetanus and diphtheria in persons 7 years of age or older. [3-4]
