Reason for the Shortage

    • Ascend will be relaunching morphine immediate tablets in the next few weeks.
    • Hikma did not provide a reason for the shortage.
    • SpecGX has not provided us with availability information.
    • Upsher-Smith is discontinuing morphine immediate-release tablets.

Available Products

    • There is insufficient supply for usual ordering

Estimated Resupply Dates

    • Hikma has morphine 15 mg immediate-release tablets in 100 count unit-dose packages on back order and the company estimates a release date in late-June 2025. All other presentations are on allocation.
