UCSF data scientist and pharmacist Ben Michaels joins ASHP official for an overview of the exciting AI Summit content planned for the inaugural Pharmacy Futures meeting in Portland.

Ben MichaelsBen Michaels, PharmD, 340B-ACE (he/him/his) is a data science pharmacist on the pharmacy analytics team at UCSF Health. The team provides full stack development support for all pharmacy data within the enterprise. As a member of the team, Ben is responsible for data engineering, AI applications, research requests, and end user applications. Ben has experience working in informatics, analytics, and data science with health systems. He has consulted as a health data consultant and solutions engineer for health systems and startups. 

Cynthia von HeeringenCynthia von Heeringen is an education director on the National Meetings Education Team at ASHP and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing medical education, continuing professional development programs, and other clinical resources for pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. This includes developing educational content for ASHP’s national meetings, and other special education activities. With extensive experience in acute care clinical practice and operational supervision, she is passionate about medication safety and process optimization. She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy.
