This podcast is an offering from the Black women on ASHP’s staff to the Black women in ASHP’s membership. Featuring strategies sourced from several Black ASHP staff members, the discussion centers on joy as an active form of well-being among Black women. It is a love letter that encourages members to be intentional about choosing joy and nurturing it as a daily practice.
SPEAKERS
Aretha Hankinson, JD, is director of media relations at ASHP. She joined the ASHP staff in 1995. Aretha is a graduate of Spelman College and the University of Maryland School of Law.
Lillian Agyei recently joined ASHP as project manager of the Well-Being Ambassador program. She is a public health practitioner with over a decade of experience managing complex health projects, monitoring program indicators, and evaluating health outcomes across a variety of sectors, including non-profit, public, and private. Agyei also has extensive experience leading the development of non-profit strategic planning, community-based participatory research, and program evaluation.
