This episode will provide insight on how to establish and maintain wellbeing during the first year of pharmacy school. Listeners will here from three rising P2 students that were able to create support systems that helped them be successful academically and mentally.
SPEAKERS
Sundas Azim is a PharmD candidate who is enrolled at Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy at Shenandoah University in Fairfax. Sundas is a rising second year student who will be holding the OTC Medication Safety Chair position for APhA and the webmaster position for SVSHP. Sundas obtained her Bachelor of Science in health Sciences from James Madison University where she also had a concentration in pre-Pharmacy. Sundas is currently working as a pharmacy intern at CVS Pharmacy.
Hanifa Aktar is a second year PharmD student at Shenandoah University Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy. She is also pursuing master’s in business administration degree at Shenandoah University. Hanifa is part of student Organizations such as SVSHP serving as Advocacy officer and NCODA as Vice president. She is advocate for Asian community for medication adherence. Hanifa completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at New Jersey City University.
Bathsheba Teshome is ASHP’s 2022 Summer Intern, working out of the OMR office under Melanie Smith. Bathsheba is a rising second year student at Shenandoah University Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy. Where Bathsheba will be serving as the President-Elect for SVSHP, the Class of 2025 Vice President, and CPFI Vice President this upcoming school year. Prior to pharmacy school Bathsheba got her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Virginia Tech.
