Maintaining wellness while pursuing your Doctor of Pharmacy degree can be challenging. To address this, Student Societies of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHPs) are actively promoting wellbeing and resilience within their chapters. Through this podcast, we hope to highlight examples of how to incorporate wellness and wellbeing into SSHP initiatives, as well as share some tips on how to foster and sustain well-being and resilience during pharmacy school.

Amy Le is a Vietnamese-American fourth-year student pharmacist from the University of Texas at Austin. During pharmacy school, Amy was involved in leadership positions including serving as secretary for UT's Chapter of Student Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists. Amy has always had a passion for advocating for patients with mental health conditions. She also enjoys mentoring pharmacy students. Upon graduation, she hopes to obtain a PGY1/PGY2 residency in Psychiatric Pharmacy and become a board-certified Psychiatric Pharmacist.
Sandra Cabezas is a fourth-year pharmacy student at the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy who served as an ASHP extern in October 2022. She previously served as vice president of USF’s Student Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists chapter. Sandra currently serves on the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum as the workgroup chair for the Wellbeing and Resiliency charge. Upon graduation, she hopes to pursue a residency in Health-Systems Pharmacy Administration and Leadership.
