Residency application and interview season is right around the corner! This podcast features current PGY1 & PGY2 HSPAL residents from the ASHP Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residents’ Collaborative (PALRC) to discuss the residency application process, interview tips & tricks and post interview follow up for those interested in pursuing an administration and leadership residency program.
SPEAKERS
Tyler Wempen (he/him) is a post graduate year 2 health–system pharmacy administration and leadership resident at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin where he is also completing his Master of Healthcare Administration through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prior to joining Froedtert in 2022, Wempen received a bachelor's degree in health sciences and PharmD from the University of Iowa. Currently, he serves as a member of the ASHP Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residents’ Collaborative Student & Resident Engagement Workgroup.
Maybeth James (she/her) is a post graduate year 2/MS health system pharmacy administration and leadership resident at Cleveland Clinic. Maybeth attended pharmacy school at Ohio Northern University where she received her PharmD in 2022. Her interests include transitions of care, population health, clinical pharmacy management, and education and training.
Tierra Jackson (she/her) is a post graduate year one health system pharmacy administration and leadership resident at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Tierra did her undergraduate training and pharmacy coursework at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. She remains passionate about advancing pharmacy practice and increasing health equity for underrepresented minority communities. Tierra hopes to serve as a role model and mentor for other young women with an interest in pharmacy administration and leadership.
Julia Weber (she/her) is a current fourth-year pharmacy student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy. She is interested in pursuing a pharmacy administration and leadership residency following graduation in May. Her interests in pharmacy administration include clinical management, outpatient and specialty pharmacy operations, and customer service and performance improvement. She is also very interested in teaching and is looking forward to completing a residency where she has the opportunity to precept pharmacy students.
