Angelica Berni and Justin Culshaw come together to share both their personal and professional experiences in caring for the Hispanic/Latinx community during a pandemic. They delve into gaps in care and provide tips on empowering pharmacists as we move forward together as a profession.

Angelica Berni, PharmD, MS, BCPS, CPh is the director of the specialty pharmacy and clinical ambulatory pharmacy service line at Baptist Health South Florida in Miami. She received her doctor of pharmacy degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University and completed a post graduate year 1 and year 2 in Health System Pharmacy Administration at The University of Kansas Health System in conjunction with a master’s degree from The University of Kansas.
Dr. Justin Culshaw is currently a PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Resident at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC). He completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at UCMC and obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Culshaw enjoys advocating for pharmacy practice and social change on ASHP’s Legislative Advocacy Advisory Group and as contributing editor to UCMC’s diversity and inclusion newsletter, “Inclusion Corner”, emailed to 70+ members of UCMC’s pharmacy department.
