In this Pharmacy Leadership Episode, Justin Moore, Chair of the New Practitioners Forum (NPF) Executive Committee, sits down with the 2023 NPF Distinguished Service Awardee, Joe Marchiano, to discuss what membership within the Forum and ASHP means to him and how it has helped him develop as a pharmacy practice leader.

Joe Marchiano, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP, (he/him) is a clinical lead pharmacist in the specialty of geriatrics at Summa Health and an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). After earning his PharmD from Ohio Northern University, he completed a PGY-1 residency at the University Hospitals (UH) Geauga Medical Center before completing a PGY-2 residency in Internal Medicine and Academia through the UH Geauga Medical Center and NEOMED. Currently, he practices in ambulatory and inpatient multidisciplinary geriatrics settings while teaching in the NEOMED College of Pharmacy.
Justin Moore, PharmD, BCPS, BCIDP, (he/him) is a practice coordinator for antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship and an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Moore is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned his PharmD degree after receiving a BA from the University of Virginia. He completed a PGY-1 & PGY-2 ID Pharmacy Residency at Northwestern Medicine. He serves as the current chair of ASHP’s New Practitioners Forum Executive Committee.
