Healthcare leaders across the country continue to address disparities in the workplace caused by barriers and inequities related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Pharmacy leaders committed to skill development, mentorship and creative strategies to address these challenges are crucial to ensuring best practices within their respective organizations. This podcast will provide the perspectives from three pharmacy executives on their personal journeys and experiences with supporting and investing in progressive change.

Anthony (Tony) Scott, PharmD, MBA, (he/him) obtained his PharmD from The University of Georgia and his MBA from New England College. He completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA and then completed his PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency at the North Florida - South Georgia VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. He is currently serving as the director of pharmacy services at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.
Dawn Moore, PharmD, MS, FACHE, CPEL, (she/her) serves as vice president and chief pharmacy officer at Community Health Network. Previously, Moore served as vice president and chief pharmacy officer at Indiana University Health. She is a PharmD graduate of Florida A&M University, and the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics, where she completed a Pharmacy Administration Residency and master’s degree. Moore is past president of the Indiana Pharmacy Association and board member elect of the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (ASHP). Moore served on ASHP’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force.
Patrice S. Dupart, RPh, PharmD, MSHCM is vice president of pharmacy and apothecary-in-chief for NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) since 2018. In this role, she is responsible for Pharmacy services across the 10-hospital system. Her areas of focus are pharmacy innovation and transformation, progressive clinical and operational services, expanding retail and specialty pharmacy services, and growing Pharmacy in the Ambulatory spaces. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and PGY1 at Ochsner Health system.
David Chen, RPh, MBA (he/him/his) is the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ assistant vice president for pharmacy leadership and planning. He has been with ASHP starting September 2004, and previously served the role as Director of Pharmacy at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland including the Kessler/Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital. Mr. Chen earned his Bachelor of Science in pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and his MBA from the Loyola University of Maryland.
