This podcast will explore leadership strategies and skills needed to stay relevant in healthcare.  The speakers will describe how they keep up with the changes in managing healthcare technology. They will describe how ASHP has contributed to their ability to keep pace with these changes. 

SPEAKERS

 Joseph LassiterJoseph Lassiter, PharmD, MS, is senior vice president, pharmacy informatics and technology, and chief pharmacy informatics officer for Visante. He is an experienced pharmacist leader who has practiced in the areas of direct patient care, managed care, pharmacy informatics, and health-system administration and leadership over the last 20 years. Dr. Lassiter brings strategic leadership, contemporary expertise and creative solutions to help clients optimize their clinical informatics and technology opportunities. 

Brian FungBrian K. Fung, PharmD, MPH, BCPS is a health data architect at Verily and responsible for the design of databases to support the usage of HL7 FHIR and clinical data standards for healthcare interoperability. He has been working in clinical informatics roles since 2013 and was formerly an Informatics pharmacist at Mayo Clinic and a graduate student intern at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT. 

Julie PawolaJulie Pawola, PharmD received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed a pharmacy practice residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Her primary practice area is informatics as a member of the UW Health Meds Management team and the coordinator for the PGY-2 informatics residency. She is active in the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin and ASHP, currently serving as the Chair of SOPIT’s Educational Steering Committee.
