The purpose of this podcast is to highlight the skills that all pharmacists have to assist in the creation and maintenance of CDS. Listeners will learn about how to be involved in CDS, and why it is important for pharmacists to be involved in CDS.

Pooja Ojha, PharmD is a medication management informaticist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Pooja completed pharmacy school at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. She completed a postgraduate year 1 Pharmacy Residency at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown in Columbus, GA and then pursued a PGY-2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency at Mayo Clinic. Pooja’s professional interests, as they pertain to informatics pharmacy, are clinical decision support and automation. In her free time, Pooja likes to explore different types of food and explore the outdoors.
Nick Schutz, PharmD is the pharmacy informatics specialist at North Memorial Health in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. He earned his Computer Science degree from Georgia Tech and worked at General Motors, IBM, and as a consultant. He returned to school and earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Minnesota. He also serves as a clinical assistant professor at College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota.
Tammy Buntjer, PharmD is a clinical informaticist/pharmacist at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), specializing in inpatient pharmacy and medication processes for ANTHC’s Cerner Millennium Electronic Health Record. CDR Buntjer has been a pharmacist serving in the United States Public Health Service since 1997 and has been involved in various informatics activities throughout her career, transitioning to informatics full time in 2010. CDR Buntjer completed the ASHP Pharmacy Informatics Certificate Program in 2020 and has numerous application based certifications in informatics.
Dalton Fabian, PharmD, RPh is a pharmacist with a passion for technology and data science who serves as a data scientist at Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield in Des Moines, IA. In his role, Dalton utilizes machine learning to improve care within a mutual health insurance company. Dalton is also passionate about helping more pharmacists find roles in data science.
