This podcast will identify what urine drug screens (UDS) can and cannot reveal as well as discuss different UDS results that may be available in your institution. Speakers will also touch on common misinterpretations when reviewing UDS screening results.
SPEAKERS
Dr. Vinh Dao (Vinny) is a graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. He provides clinical services in the areas of pain management, opioid stewardship, and headache disorder as a pharmacist practitioner within the Comprehensive Pain Center of the Minneapolis VA Healthcare System. He also serves as Residency Program Director of a PGY2 Pain Management and Palliative Care Pharmacy Residency Program and guest lectures for the University of Maryland-Eastern Shores.
Eva E. Coulson, PharmD, BCPS, is a Pain Management Pharmacist at Kaweah Health in Visalia, California. She graduated from Texas Tech University Health System Sciences Center School of Pharmacy and went on to complete a PGY-1 Acute Care Pharmacy residency and a PGY-2 Pain Management and Palliative Care residency at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in Iowa City, Iowa. Her educational interests include pain pathophysiology, multimodal pain management, palliative care, and oncology.
