COVID-19: Managing Ambulatory Staff During Significant Events

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused changes in all practice settings of healthcare. The ambulatory setting has experienced some of the largest practice changes and advances. In this episode, we will explore how two ambulatory pharmacy leaders have navigated practice changes during this pandemic.

SPEAKERS

Rachel DruryRachel Drury, PharmD, BCACP, is the Ambulatory Pharmacy Coordinator & Sickle Cell Clinical Pharmacist at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her PharmD from Midwestern University - Chicago College of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Kansas City Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, followed by a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Specialty Residency at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, Maryland.

Jeffrey OlsonDr. Jeffery L. Olson is a Community Care Pharmacy Director at Intermountain Healthcare. He has responsibility for ambulatory care pharmacy services for the system. He is the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program Director and holds an Adjunct Faculty appointment at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. Dr. Olson has led development and expansion of ambulatory care pharmacy clinical services across primary care and specialty clinics at Intermountain Healthcare in some capacity for 13 years.

Samantha LandolfaSamantha Landolfa, PharmD, BCPS, is the Director of Ambulatory and Specialty Pharmacy Services at ChristianaCare in Newark, DE. She earned her PharmD from the University of Illinois at Chicago and then completed a PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Samantha is an active member of the Clinical Practice Advancement SAG for the Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners. She also serves as the Legislative Chair for the Delaware Society of Health System Pharmacists and is a member of the APhA Medication Management SIG Clinical Committee.
