David Kao, MD is an academic cardiologist and Medical Director of the Colorado Center for Personalized Medicine and UCHealth CARE Innovation Center. He studied biomedical engineering and graduated from medical school at the Johns Hopkins University followed by internal medicine residency and biomedical informatics research fellowship at Stanford. He moved to Colorado in 2008 for cardiology fellowship and subsequently joined the faculty. He uses his informatics experience to design and deliver pharmacogenetic results across the 2 million-patient UCHealth system.
