SPEAKERS
Michael Ganio, PharmD, MS, FASHP is Senior Director of Pharmacy Practice and Quality at ASHP. Dr. Ganio joined the staff at ASHP in January, 2018, after nearly two decades in hospital and health-system pharmacy practice. His responsibilities at ASHP span the practice of pharmacy and include drug shortages, pharmaceutical quality, sterile and non-sterile compounding, hazardous drug safety, and other practice-related topics.
Craig Pedersen, RPh, PhD, FAPhA, FASHPA is regional manager for pharmacy purchasing, Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, and Clinical Professor, University of Washington, in Seattle, WA. Dr. Pedersen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Washington and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in pharmacy administration from The University of South Carolina. Previously, Dr. Pedersen was a professor at Ohio State University where he directed the graduate program and the health-system pharmacy administration program. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.
