Today, women make up the majority of the workforce in healthcare organizations but are underrepresented in leadership positions, particularly senior leadership. Research shows there are unique barriers, challenges, and issues facing women in the workforce. Given the talent pool demographics, the pharmacy profession must address the needs and opportunities for leadership at every level through enhancing the development of women leaders, utilizing the recent research and the practical, everyday implications of the issues.
