Barbara Petroff is a certified accreditation consultant and provides consulting services for infusion, specialty pharmacy, sterile compounding and accreditation preparation, and as an expert witness. She started her career conducting research in product development of sterile products for a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in Michigan. After furthering her career in hospital pharmacy with a brief stint in retail, she entered the home infusion arena. She worked in a staff position then moved into management and corporate clinical work for several years. She graduated from Ohio State University.
Ms. Petroff has served on clinical excellence panels and training teams, and in addition to being a member for the Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners Executive Committee and Chair for the Section Advisory Group on Home Infusion, she chairs the Standards Committee for the National Home Infusion Association. She has also served on several clinical excellence panels, taught health management classes at University of Phoenix and serves as an accreditation surveyor for the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.
