The Section of Community Pharmacy Practitioners in partnership with the Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners will be hosting a virtual poster session to showcase select PGY1 and PGY2 community-based & ambulatory care pharmacy resident research in June.
Interested residents can submit their project abstract by March 31, for an opportunity to present their poster in June.

Who is eligible to submit for and participate in this poster session?
To be eligible to submit, individuals must be currently serving in a PGY1 community-based pharmacy residency or PGY2 ambulatory care pharmacy residency. Residents must also be active ASHP members.
What projects are eligible for this poster presentation?
Pharmacy residents may submit posters related to a research plan, quality project, administrative or operational project, or business proposal. Topics must be related to ambulatory care, specialty pharmacy, or community pharmacy practice.
I am interested in submitting a poster but my research is not ready. Can I still submit?
Yes, pharmacy residents can submit business or research project proposals that are currently in development. The submission link includes a project title and abstract description. Pharmacy residents will be required to submit an electronic copy of their poster by May, 2023.
If my poster gets accepted, when will poster presentations take place?
Poster presentations are scheduled to take place the first or second week in June. Candidates will be notified in April with more information on their submission status and assigned presentation date.
How do I prepare for my presentation?
Pharmacy residents will be asked to prepare a five-minute presentation about their poster. Presentations will be held virtually, via Zoom. ASHP will be displaying a copy of your poster virtually during the presentation. An opportunity for Q&A will be offered to attendees.
Who can I invited to the presentation?
Pharmacy residents will have the opportunity to invite co-residents, pharmacy residency preceptors, residency program directors, or other mentors who wish to support the resident. Participation is free to all attendees. We do kindly ask that participants stay for the duration of the presentation, when possible.
